Fishy Puns Are the Best!

Toni with you this fine day playing with new Memory Box products. Oh, how I love them!

While thinking about the design of the card, I realized the three collage dies could be layered for a really cool look--like peering into a sea cavern or a coral tunnel.

First, I sponged the card base using Distress Oxide Broken China and Cracked Pistachio. I used a Zig H2O Detail Watercolor Brush to flick water onto it, waited a few seconds, then used a paper towel to dab away the excess water. Next came the diecuts. The bottom layer in iridescent mylar is Seaweed Collage, the next from a pale blue cardstock lightly sponged with Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio is Coral Collage and the top is Underwater Collage in a crisp white.

I used Copics to color up the Memory Box Fish Tales stamps and then tucked those into the scene at the different layers using Ranger Multi Medium Matte. The sentiment is stamped in my favorite VersaFine Onyx Black. Isn't that pun adorably funny? So cute!!!!

I have a bunch of other ideas for the dies that aren't underwater. Any guesses on what I might do? Stay tuned!

Fabio!

Toni here and head over fins for all of the nautical goodies coming in to The Heart Desires! Take the Hero Arts Manatee Stamp and Cut set that comes with stamps, sentiments AND dies. All that cuteness in one package--swoon!

I used the WRMK Next Level Wave Embossing Folder as a backdrop and framed the manatee scene with a porthole. Look at me getting all seaworthy! The VersaFine Onyx Black for the sentiment was a no-brainer; nothing is better for ultra-crisp sentiment stamping in my book. Oh, I should have said "boat"!

Of course, everything is colored with my beloved Copic Sketch markers.  I used a Copic Multiliner to draw the waves and splash before coloring them in. Notice the color differentiation between the manatee above and below water?  I like to do that after I've colored up the object then I layer the water color on top without worrying about shading because the object itself is already shaded. A bit of Clear Wink of Stella for the world's most uncomfortable bra and done!

You Make Me Happy x 3

Hello!  It's Amy here with a quick card trio:

These cards are 3x3 and were super quick to make.  I used the Doodlebug Design Desert Flower Shape Sprinkles.  These guys are so cute and petite so the 3x3 card size is perfect.  I mixed up some of the Sprinkles by putting some of them on foam dimensionals.

The paper and sentiment strips are from the Fun in the Sun paper pad.   These were super quick and easy to whip up!

Sending You Hugs

I think I've mentioned this before, but my great grandma's name was Bunny. So every time I play with the My Favorite Things Somebunny Stamps set I think of her. She was so sweet and loving. Always loved giving hugs. I'm sure I'll be sending this to my grandma for a little thank you. This stamp set really has great sentiments for thank you and birthday cards which is what I tend to need the most of.

I also used this We r Memory Keepers Next Level Embossing Folder - Bouquet.  If you don't have this set yet you need to order it now because it is a beautiful must have. It is beautiful just by itself for a gorgeous super fast last minute thank you card.

Thank you so much stopping by!
XOXO

Aloha, New Friends

Toni here with a couple of fun hello cards for recent winners of an IG giveaway sponsored by The Heart Desires Store. Congrats to Rebecca Griffith and Vandana Rastogi!

For my card, I randomly stamped the pineapples from Concord and 9th Pop Art Pineapple using Distress Inks, including Picked Raspberry (my fav!). I used the colors from the latest THD Challenge to boot. So bright and cheery, doncha think?

Remember how foiling was all the rage a while back? I still love it so spattered some foil paint (essentially thinned rubber cement tho not as stinky pants) then used gold foil and my laminator for some glam. There's a lot going on so I used Doodlebug Black/White Striped Washi beneath the die cut sentiment to draw the eye to it.

Nuts about Mom

Katie here. Did everyone have a good Mother's Day?  I hope so!  I certainly did.  I love my sweet family sooo much.

Speaking of Mother's Day, I wanted to share this card that I made for a mom with you.

I love these little squirrels from Neat & Tangled's My Favorite Nut. Perfectly colored with Copics and supplemented with some paper from My Minds Eye.

That's all, thanks for your visit today!
