I Fall For You

Fall is my favorite season of the year and this card encompasses everything I love about the season!  A tasty caramel apple spice cider from Starbucks warms me right up.  I find the yellow orange leaf colors enchanting like this pretty tree in my front yard.

I used the cute Falling for you set from Newtons Nook and stamped it with the very pretty Butter Bar to Orange Soda ombre ink pad from Hero Arts.

Shine Like the Sun

Toni here with a card to support the Hop to Stop domestic violence.  Do join in if you have the opportunity before the October 30 deadline.

I first used Distress Inks to create a watercolor wash on Ranger watercolor paper.  Once dried, I stamped the outdoor scene using Versafine Onyx Black.  I really wanted to focus on the sentiment so I cut most of the scene away, leaving only the tops of the trees to lift the eye upward.  I chose a round shape to represent the sun and grounded it using a strip of Doodlebug black/white striped washi.

This card could be easily recreated using a number of products in the store.  I've included a few below.

October Guest Designer, Take 2

Our current guest designer, Linda, has a big ol' stack of pumpkins to share today.  She's used the Avery Elle Dotted Borders die and Eyelet Outlet Glitter Gold Enamel Dots to great effect!

I particularly like the sprigs of greenery drawing attention to the sentiment.  Wonderful!

New Supplies in Da House

Toni here with a project that makes me feel all manly man.  I used copper conductor tape, the same sort of stuff used with Chibi lights, to create today's card.  What what?!  The copper is such a lovely contrast against  the fantastic Neat and Tangled Be Full sentiment and tree stenciled with Distress Ink.  Then there's the Gina Marie frame.

I'm not gonna lie.  When I heard about Gina Marie dies, I was rather skeptical because they were sooooo reasonably priced.  But now that I've used them--wow, just wow.  They cut beautifully and are going to last for years and years. I heart Gina Marie!

Sugarpea Designs Fall Fox

Toni here showcasing some of the new Sugarpea Designs products that have arrived in the store.  SPD is right up my alley--cute, cute, cute!  I've used the Sugarpea Designs Fall Fox, Stitched Flags and Heart Border dies which coordinate so beautifully together, don't they?  Additional SPD products are headed to the shop so be sure to check them out.

I also used the Neat and Tangled Hexastar Cover Plate on top of Emerald Green and Dark Brown Brushos to create the impression of fall leaves and trees.  I just love the effect.  Can you guess the designer paper I used?  It's the packaging from a Hero Arts die I recently bought.  What?!  I know, right!

Happy crafting until next time!

Practically Purr-fect!

Hello!  It's Amy here with a clean + crisp card!  I used the Doodlebug Design Kitten Smitten 6x6 paper pad.  It's filled with such CUTE designs!  I teamed it up with the Neat & Tangled Kitty's Favorite Things stamp set.

I love messy watercoloring with my Zig Clean Color Markers.  Versafine Onyx Black is one of my go-to inks!

I was inspired by the current CAS(E) this sketch:

Have you been following The Heart Desires Instagram?!  It's been filling up with such pretty eye candy!

Merry Christmas from Seattle!

Toni here with the full reveal of the reindeer card!  I think it's so so cute and really enjoyed seeing how the ladies in my crafty group worked it up in their make and takes yesterday.  Fun!

And I hope you're inspired to create some interactive cards too.  I love the versatility of the Lawn Fawn Slide on Over dies and am eagerly anticipating their restock in the shop.  I'm also looking forward to additional colors of Distress Inks. You know I love them and use them a LOT.  With the holiday season approaching (practically tomorrow!), you'll be seeing even more DI background from me. They're so easy to do and have that immediate wow factor. You can even use Brushos in liquid form (just add water!) to create some fantastic blendings.  Ooh, I think I'll play with that today.

While you're waiting for the Slide on Over dies to arrive and perhaps your watercolor backgrounds to dry, you can be thinking of what sentiments, creatures, and scenes you can create. A few of my favs are below.
